Greg Lam

(Designer: Restaurant Row, Chopstick Dexterity MegaChallenge 3000, Marvin Marvel's Marvelous Marble Machine, Knockabout, 'Rasslefest, Rock, Scissors. Paper; Co-Designer, Warp 6)

Favorite games (not including ours)
Ultra-Customized Wiz War, Settlers of Catan, Mah Jong, Scrabble, Family Business.

What makes a good game
Equal and plentiful helpings of fun, logic, and fascination. I have to want to think through games obsessively in order for me to consider it one of my personal classics. Plus a little bit of unadulterated evil. What's more fun than trying to screw over your opponent?

Other interests
Comics, Storytelling, Theatre, Podcasting, Cooking and Eating, hip hop and folk music. Writing (playwriting, screenwriting, stories, etc.). Silent Comedy. I've studied Chaplin and Keaton like a religion and have written a full-length play about the only movie they ever made together.

With a million dollars I would
Learn how to shoot film and make a silent comedy for modern times.

Luke

Favorite games (not including ours)
Go, Elfland, Scattergories, Junta

What makes a good game
Games where you can control your fate, yet not have to pay attention to a million little things which, if you ignore them for a moment, destroy you. I like an element of chance. I love games where barganing and politics are possible. Playing games 'dirty' is always a good thing.

Other interests
Pretending to be creative in the realms of photography, writing, and painting.

With a million dollars I would
Get good food and good art.

Favorite games (not including ours)
Casino, dominoes. Schotten Totten, Lost Cities, Sticheln. Rheinlander, Carcassonne, Iron Horse. Electronic Catchphrase

What makes a good game
Randomness that can be easily mitigated with a bit of planning. Little downtime. A way to interfere with other players' plans without sacrificing your own.

Other interests
Puzzles, films, learning to cook.

With a million dollars I would
Distribute it throughout my community.
